Pongal Celebration – 2018

The New year 2018 started with Pongal celebration on 12th January at our school campus in grand manner.
The day started with the lighting of lamp by our Correspondent Mam Tmt. R. Kanmani. The melam started and followed by carrying of the auspicious Molapari by our school girls who were dressed traditionally. The whole school ground was so colourful and it typically depicted a village scene during pongal.
Our students were made aware of the traditions and customs of Tamilians by the performances on stage like speech, dances and villupattu.
Our management took immense effort in projecting the heritage of Tamilnadu by organizing such a mega event comprising of traditional games and stalls like sugarcane juice, cotton candy, Accessory (Bangle) stall, Tumbler game, Ring game, Merry go round, Giant wheel, Balloon stall, Candy stall, Cotton seed milk, Jaggery sweets, shooting games, Bullock cart ride, Vuri adi game and many more.
The parents and students had sweet memories to take home as Oilattam, Poikal kudirai, Naiyandi Melam, Chettiyar bommai also were organized well.
The day ended with full enthusiasm and Joy. “HAPPY PONGAL”.
